Short Bio

After heading global business development for the Hult Prize Foundation and scaling their presence across the Middle East Jamal Khayyat co-founded Changelabs, a MAGNITT-rated top MENA accelerator with a global network that's focused on empowering entrepreneurs via accelerators, incubators, hackathons and funding. Jamal works with governments and private sector leaders to develop breakthrough programs to empower youth through entrepreneurship.

Track Record

An expert in the art and science of startups, Mr. Khayyat has designed bespoke entrepreneurial programs, led the implementation of award winning accelerators, and advised hundreds of entrepreneurs. Through his work, Jamal has helped deploy over $5M into the impact space. Jamal has also MC'd massive 5k+ attendee events (link below) and moderated C-suite panels proudly inspiring and empowering thousands of youth en masse. A Jordanian-Canadian, Jamal currently spends his time between DC and the MENA region.

Background

With a B.Sc. In Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Rotman at the University of Toronto, Jamal has garnered more than 8 years of multi-industry work exposure including Pharma, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Strategy Consulting. As an Accenture strategy consultant, Jamal advised C-suite clients on cutting-edge technology transformation and implementation projects, large-scale org. restructuring, new-market entry and lean process optimization initiatives.

Jamal also joined Airo Health (a Y Combinator S’16 batch tech start-up building an automatic calorie-tracking and stress-management wearable) where he gained experience in fund-raising and product development. He also gained top-notch VC investments appraisal and start-up valuation experience at Canada’s top startup program, the Creative Destruction Lab.
